Within the text of the LRC, under Section VII, Article VII in regards to the recognition of qualifications held by refugees, displaced persons and persons in a refugee-like situation, it reads:\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-10 text-base leading-normal\">\n  \n&#8220;<em>Each Party shall take all feasible and reasonable steps within the framework of its education system and in conformity with its constitutional, legal, and regulatory provisions to develop procedures designed to assess fairly and expeditiously whether refugees, displaced persons and persons in a refugee-like situation fulfil the relevant requirements for access to higher education, to further higher education programmes or to employment activities, even in cases in which the qualifications obtained in one of the Parties cannot be proven through documentary evidence.\u201d<\/em>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-10 text-base leading-normal\">\n  \nAs such, refugees, displaced persons or persons in a refugee-like situation who have formal education from a recognised and\/or accredited educational institution and others who for valid reason and in spite of their best persistent efforts cannot document the qualifications they claim, should have a right to have their qualifications assessed by a competent authority responsible for its recognition.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-10 text-base leading-normal\">\n  \nFurthermore, in 2017, Lisbon Recognition Convention Committee adopted the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.enic-naric.net\/fileusers\/1251_Recommendation_on_Recognition_of_Qualifications_Held_by_Refugees_Displaced_Persons_and_Persons_in_a_Refugee_like_Situation.pdf\"><em>Recommendation on the Recognition of Qualifications held by Refugees, Displaced Persons and Persons in a Refugee-like Situation<\/em><\/a>.\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Informational document on the foreign higher education qualification is a document for asylees, aliens under subsidiary protection and aliens under temporary protection who, due to justified reasons, are unable to submit documentation proving the foreign higher education qualification, and which contains information on the higher education institution that issued the qualification as well as information &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/azvo.hr\/en\/foreign-education-qualifications\/assessment-of-foreign-higher-education-qualifications\/informational-document-on-the-higher-education-qualification-for-asylees-aliens-under-subsidiary-protection-and-aliens-under-temporary-protection-without-documentation\/\">Continued<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":169,"featured_media":0,"parent":19714,"menu_order":1,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.4 -
