Professional conference E-infrastructure Days 2017 – Srce DEI 2017 was organised by the University Computing Centre (Srce) in Zagreb, on 5 April 2017. 

Presentations, discussions and workshops on challenges, plans and possibilities of applying information and communication technologies in modern education and science, have brought together experts in planning and implementation of new information technologies in science and higher education, users of these technologies, as well as other stakeholders. The emphasis of the conference was experience sharing in developing advanced research and educational e-infrastructure and ways to effectively exploit it in a modern education and research system.

On this occasion, a representative of the Agency for Science and Higher Education, Ms Marina Grubišić, presented MOZVAG information system used to collect data in the external evaluation procedures of the Agency. The existing system will be upgraded in order to include new data necessary for implementing the re-accreditation procedures in the new cycle along with the existing ones.

Among the speakers of this year’s conference were Ingrid Melve, head of the eCampus programme (UNINETT, Norway), Airina Volungevičienė, Director of the Institute for Innovative Studies at Vytautas Magnus University of Lithuania, and president of EDEN (European Distance and E-Learning Network) from the United Kingdom. The presentations were also delivered by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education, Ruđer Bošković Institute, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Split, Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, and other.
