A regional workshop entitled ”Importance of Career Counselling in Higher Education: How to Meet the Labour Market Needs” was held on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka. The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Labour and Pension System in cooperation with the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) and the University of Rijeka.

The workshop was attended by 60 participants, mainly career advisers from the higher education institutions, with representatives of the Croatian Employment Service and members of the Forum for Lifelong Career Guidance and Career Development of the Republic of Croatia. The lectures were held by Prof. Rachel Mulvey, Ph.D., from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom), Prof. Zoran Sušanj, Ph.D., and Ms. Nikoleta Zubić, both from the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka. The regional workshop was held in framework of the ESF project “Improving the system of lifelong career guidance development by strengthening the role of the Forum for lifelong career guidance and development in the Republic of Croatia” with the aim of strengthening the members of lifelong professional guidance in Croatia.
