On Friday, 18 February 2022, the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) organised an online workshop titled Career management for (young) researchers.
The workshop was led by Asst. prof. Ana Jakopec, PhD, of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek.
There was significant interest in the online event, with over 300 participants in attendance.
The workshop was primarily aimed at young researchers (assistants, doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers) as well as career counsellors working with this target group of employees at higher education institutions. The topics included the career paths available to university teachers, the teaching and research competencies young researchers ought to have, how to draw up a personal development plan and more.
