Pursuant to the Act on Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Science (OG 151/2022), the Accreditation Council of the Agency for Science and Higher Education appoints a Follow-up Committee for conducting the follow-up procedure.

Follow-up in case of issuance of a licence

The decision to issue a licence shall also determine the procedure and deadline for the follow-up on the work of the higher education institution, which is to be carried out by the Follow-up Committee. The follow-up procedure includes the submission of an action plan for the quality enhancement of operations of the higher education institution in accordance with the recommendations of the expert panel, as well as reporting on the implementation of said action plan.

Follow-up in case of issuance of a letter of expectation

A higher education institution which received a letter of expectation shall, within a maximum of three months from the day of issuance of the letter of expectation, adopt an action plan defining activities, deadlines and indicators necessary for taking measures defined in the letter of expectation. If the higher education institution fails to carry out the activities in accordance with the prescribed deadlines and indicators, the Accreditation Council shall submit a reasoned recommendation to the Agency to revoke the higher education institution’s licence to operate.
