Central Applications Office of the Agency for Science and Higher Education is introducing the electronic system of applications to graduate study programmes of the University of Rijeka in the academic year 2015/2016. After its implementation at the University of Rijeka, the new system will be gradually introduced at other higher education institutions in Croatia.
The introduction of the system will reduce application costs and minimise paperwork, which will facilitate the admission process not only for students but also for higher education institutions. The chances of vertical mobility are expected to increase, which means that students are going to have more options regarding the choice of higher education institutions where they wish to continue their education at the graduate level.
The new system will exchange information with HEIs’ information systems on the results and other necessary undergraduate studies information. Ranking lists for admission to graduate studies will be generated on the basis of this information.
Applications to graduate study programmes will be conducted on the basis of the six years’ experience gained in the process of applications to undergraduate programmes, carried out by the Central Applications Office of the Agency for Science and Higher Education. Starting from the academic year 2010/2011, students have been applying to undergraduate study programmes using the Central Application System which offers the prospective students easier access to higher education and greater choice of study programmes.
All information relating to applications to University of Rijeka graduate programmes can be found at the website of the Central Admission Office www.studij.hr and at the University of Rijeka website.
